By car

La Chapelle d'Abondance is very accessible, because it's 95% highway. Only the last 20 km's are throught the mountains.  The road Geneva - Thonon - La Chapelle d'Abondance is beautiful but it takes a while, due to small villages, roundabouts and winding roads. The road Montreux - Monthey - Châtel is a lot faster. Although the roads are almost always clean, it's compulsory to have snow chains in your car.

Beware: Are you driving through Switzerland and then Châtel? Our Esprit Montagne sign's placed a few meters after the road to the hotel. So please keep an eye on the house and blue bus stop sign as showed on the photo. Turn to the right, directly at the bus stop.

By plane
Geneva is the nearest airport and is situated at 71 km's from La Chapelle d´Abondance. The cheapest tickets from the UK can be booked at a low cost airline like Easyjet. 

From Geneva you can take the train to Thonon-Les-Bains. From Thonon you either take a bus or a taxi to La Chapelle d'Abondance.

By train
Travel trough Geneva with destination Thonon. Thonon is only 31 km's from La Chapelle d'Abondance. From the train station you can take the bus to La Chapelle d'Abondance. The bus stop "La Pantiaz" is in front of the hotel.

You can also take the train to Aigle in Switserland. From here you can take a taxi or the buski. Check the time and dates of the buski.
