Cross-country skiing

When it comes to winter sports, many people immediately think of downhill skiing. But why not try strapping on the cross-country skis for a fantastic winter sport vacation?

The Vallée d’Abondance is one of the loveliest cross-country regions in the Haute-Savoie. There are trails totaling 35 kilometers in length that connect Abondance, Châtel and La Chapelle d’Abondance . Along the La Dranse river, you will discover the gorgeous winter scenes and vistas on at Les Dents du Midi and Les Cornettes de Bise. There is also a small area near Lac des Plagnes above Abondance.
