Housekeeping
Stéphanie joined the housekeeping team in the summer of 2016. Careful cleaning, making herself useful, contact with the guests and their gratitude for the good cleaning are very important to her. She likes to arrange everything down to the smallest detail. She also enjoys the nice atmosphere with the rest of the team.
At home, she enjoys spending time in the kitchen baking cake and goes on hikes with her family. Outside the season, she helps us with random household tasks, and of course getting the hotel ready again for a new season.

Hi, I’m Adi Jeng.
I envision creating new dishes in which I am inspired by the natural environment, which is so beautiful here. But also embellishing existing classics and preparing them with the greatest care can appeal to me. In my spare moments I really enjoy going up the mountain and being amazed by all that beauty around me. Back down in the valley I would very much like to surprise you and let you enjoy my cooking skills. Hopefully see you soon and will we experience many culinary seasons together.

In 2017 I exchanged Rotterdam for the French mountains and since 2021 I’m part of the team of hotel ‘Mountain Spirit’ (Esprit Montagne) in the beautiful village ‘the chapel of abundance’ (La Chapelle d’Abondance). Just the names already appeal to the imagination, don’t they?
Life here with so much natural beauty, endless paths and peace around us, which we can enjoy endlessly every day, is wealth for me. Being able to share that with you, our guests, makes the experience even a bit richer for me. I look forward to our meeting with enthusiasm and would like to make it a beautiful, unforgettable winter with you and the team.

Hey! I am Kees, born and raised in Utrecht.
From the moment I went on a winter holiday in the mountains for the first time, I have said that I was born in the wrong country. Especially since I became involved in the wonderful sport of Paragliding when I was 14.
Since I started living in my nice van last summer and touring Europe and the Alps, I finally feel like I’m in my place.
Now I am very happy that I can spend these cold months with the nice team of Esprit Montagne in this beautiful valley.

Hello everyone, my name is Maartje.
Last July I decided to cycle to Rome after graduating, with a stopover in the Balkans. This trip has made me realize how much I appreciate life in nature, and can’t say goodbye to the mountains yet! That’s why I’m going to spend the coming winter season at the Hotel Esprit Montagne, where I can immerse myself in the mountains and the challenges of the snow.
In addition, I look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful place and making it a wonderful season together

Hello, I’m Tim and this winter I can also join the team at Hotel Esprit Montagne as a cook & server. I have seen a lot of the world in my life, but wherever I go, it is usually the mountains that draw me. I have been in the mountains a lot since I was young and I really love nature and being outside. In my spare time I like to play board sports (snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding), as far as that is possible in the Netherlands. I’m really looking forward to making it an unforgettable season in the beautiful French Alps.

Hello! My name is Mélanie, Mèl for short. I love the mountains, nature, animals and skiing.
Originally from Alsace, having come to the region several times on weekends or on vacation, I decided to leave the Alsatian mountains to settle in the beautiful Abondance valley.
I don’t like to stay idle, always going to discover beautiful things or pursuing my passions like skiing, hiking with my 4-legged friend Flocon, dancing, listening to music… and many others .
So happy to be part of the Esprit Montagne Team this winter.

Hello, my name is Marie. I am Chinese, and I have been here for 6 months. The Vallée d’Abondance is a beautiful place.
I am happy to join the hotel team.
I like hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. In my free time, I am interested in Chinese medicine and the traditional Chinese flute.
